"Who are we...to tell the Negro to slow down in his demands for the things which are his due, his right, his legacy?...The truth is, all this equality belongs to the Negro. We've simply not given it to him, extended it to him...we've never really made it a matter of record that by all rights, it's his to begin with."


This is powerful, and amazing, as it was 51 years ago. Worth listening to while you're driving, driving or doing some other thing.
